Mission
We are a public research center of the CONACYT
Public Centers System, which generates, transmits and spreads
scientific and technological knowledge in the Areas of: Molecular
Biology, Environmental Sciences, Advanced Materials, Applied
Mathematics and Computing Systems and Economic Geology, which
contributes to the regional and national development by producing
quality science, preparing high level human resources, disclosing
knowledge and technological innovation, with an emphasis on
interdisciplinary work.
Vision
To be a leader as an institution with international prestige
and a pole for scientific and technological development they
may contribute toward decentralizing research in Mexico.
To be an including institution, flexible, dynamic and a vanguard
in preparing human resources, emphasizing on interdisciplinary
and frontier work, with strategic projects and creative researchers,
committed with society and respectful of the environment.
