The conviction exists in the Institute that, the best way to induce a society to knowledge, Science and Technology is by means of Communication through all its diverse manners. We are aware that we can only overcome our problems and shortcomings in different fields with a prepared society and that the task of sensitizing society in the issues mentioned lies in the hands of academics and researchers.

The work carried out by the Departments of Publishing and Publication holds an important place within the IPICYT, for these activities are the windows of the Institute facing toward society.

It is through the Department of Publishing that we disclose information regarding our scientific and technological work as well as advances generated in our substantive areas.

Moreover, with the activities of Publication dedicated to children and young people we are certain that in the long run our country, there will be more people interested in scientific studies as well as the postgraduate programs offered by IPICYT.

We also combine aspects from Publishing with Publication and Graphic Design with the purpose of informing society in a clear, novel and original way.

Among the things that we do in Publishing, Publications and Design we have:

  • Report of our activities through:
    • Radio broadcasting;
    • Televisión (local and national);
    • Press (Newspapers and Magazines, among others).
    • Internet: Through our own IPICYT, web page, as well as some external informative and academic pages.
    • Audiovisual graphic material production as support for institutional presentations
  • Science Workshops (with students from pre-school to upper levels in mind)
  • Courses in Science Teaching
  • Guided Tour
