The Molecular Biology Division (DBM) has the purpose of preparing researchers, specialists and technicians in molecular biology who may have a bearing on the basic knowledge and solution of regional problems.

Thus, contributing to the development of modern biology and biotechnology in the state and the central part of Mexico.

The DBM Does research regarding the following aspects.

• Production of transgenic organisms
  (Microorganisms, plants, mice)
• Embryo transfer
• Molecular Diagnosis
• Diseases in humans, animals and plants (Cancer)
• Genetic Markers (animals, plants)
