IPICYT is a new institution with the sufficient capacity
to initiate and offer graduate programs of the highest quality
and demand at an international level. It has an experienced
Faculty group that has participated in several graduate programs,
in the country as well as abroad.
The profile of professors hired is that of active researchers,
and therefore coincides with the profile of the National System
of Researchers (SNI). The result is that an important percentage
of the researchers, 100%, belong to the SNI (2003).
The institutional perspective is to incorporate scientists
and technologists whose work may impact the world scientific
environment through original publications in the most prestigious
international journals or projects oriented toward the solution
of specific problems and linked to the different regional
and national sectors, obviously including the social one.
In addition, most of our Professors-Researchers have had
the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues abroad. This
is either because they completed their Doctorate in a foreign
institution or because they have done post-doctorate work
abroad after obtaining their degree in a national institution.
Our staff is qualified in the areas, considered strategic
for research development in the expansion of Mexico; among
these, we may include Environmental Sciences, Molecular Biology,
Applied Mathematics and Computing Systems and Advance Materials.
