The library is an information service area, which supports research and human resource training activities in the different areas of research carried out within the Institute. In it, information services are arranged, coordinated, and promoted with the purpose of satisfying the information requirements of IPICYT users.

Mission

To design and offer information services necessary to support primordial functions of the Institute such as contributing to the generation, transmission and distribution of scientific knowledge and its technological derivations in the different areas of research at the carried out at the Institute.

Goal

To satisfy the information requirements of the academic, research, and technical personnel at the Institute as well as those of students involved in postgraduate programs offered here.

Vision

To be one of the main expert libraries of the region, with up to the date cultural collections in the areas of research of the Institute and foremost technologies for providing information services. As for the local ambit, it must satisfy the information needs required by the users of this community.
